A bacterial infection, also called donovanosis. A small nodule begins to form at the point of infection, usually on the penis or innersides of the labia. It’s usually non-painful and disappears shortly after forming. Next, a bloody lesion forms around the same point and can also grow. If the illness is not treated, oozing boils develop and the affected tissue is destroyed.
Twice as many men as women, usually in tropical and subtropical climate zones.
Take antibiotics for three weeks.
If the sprawling lesion is not stopped in time, it will have to be removed by a surgeon.
